ok i know this is a little off topic, but i saw LOTR last night and it was one of the best movies i have ever seen.
Im not going to tell all but the movie answers alot of questions that i had about the series. i have not read any of the series, so i knew squat about what was going to happen.
It starts off way back and tells how golem got the ring and how he became golem. that alone was worth the watch. many of u guys and gals have probably seen it or read it, so im not going to say much more
the acting was superb. the battle sequences should have been longer though. the helms deep battle was a better played out sequence than Minas tirath, so dont expect as much as you heard from all the buzz.
it is a must see for everybody here. it is one i will see again soon, and then buy and watch about 20 times then forget about it, but it was awsome

my dad hates the series i don't understand why he always liked the midevil stuff b4 but anyways has any of you ever read the books cause they just as good

I just saw the film, it was amazing. Excellent battle sequences, etc. and i have read the books, fully, and they're ecellent too. and although Peter Jackson ignores the majority of the books it still sticks to the plot and the films are better for it in the end.

i thought the battle sequence could have been better, because this was supposed to be the largest battle that middle earth ever saw, so i thought it would be better than the helms deep battle but i thought it lacked in that one part of the movie, but otherwise this movie was one of the best ever

well the movie made history ill tell you that in one days earning it made alot(i forgot) and the record was holded from star wars(one of the episodes i forgot) and it made 8 millon dollers from midnight showings, and did ye know some hardcore wacthers could get to wacth all three of them in one theater consectavly(can't spell that but you get me) now thats about 2-3 hours a movie put together 3 and thats a long time but people just sat there and liked it

I read the book twice, it's absolutely great.
I went to the LOTR Marathon last tuesday.

I know what you're talking about with the super long showings of them. And they were the extended editions. So the first two, that's seven hours and thirteen minutes, than add another three hours and forty-two minutes onto that, and you have yourself a grand total of ten hours and fifty-five minutes. I couldn't even sit through that. But luckily, I have the extended versions of the first two, so I can watch them whenever I want.

well i was just doing some estimates on how long each was and i know i couldn't do that but the theater was packed of people(i was wacthing a show)
