HI Molly!

When my sister was 18, her doctor told her she was in the early stages of endometriosis. She's 23 now and engaged, and even though she dreams of the typical boy and girl in her future, she doesn't believe she will be able to get pregnant with as screwed up as her periods are.

Any suggestions?

Hi. If she's having irregular periods, it may or may not be endometriosis...more likely it's a hormonal problem. Irregular periods can be caused by not ovualing.

I myself had hormonal troubles...but with the help of Clomid, I conceived my son a few months later!

Many women manage to conceive with endometriosis. If your sister is thinking about getting pregnant, she should consult her gyn and have this checked since she is obviously not sure if she has endometriosis or not.

Many women have devastating symptoms with endometriosis but they are all gone during pregnancy because there is no ovulation. Unfortunately, they come back once the woman starts ovulating again.

It's a hormonal problem ... my opinion
