I will be going to New Orleans in February and wanted to know what your favorite restaurants are.
Perhaps, some that aren't quite as expensive as J. Paul, for instance.

Are you planning a visit for fun or work?

I won't be of much help. I tend to stick to fast food places and Denny's when in the New Orleans area.

I do love the oriental resturaunts but I suppose you were hoping for a different cuisine, lol.

I'm sorry I missed your post, but for future reference, my favorite restaurant in New Orleans is The Court of the Three Sisters, followed by Commander's Palace.

For lunch, I like to wander into restaurants on the side streets...I've never been disappointed and I've never been in the same place twice...too many great places to choose from!

Stick to the French Quarter if you want authentic Creole dishes. My favorite is Gallitoire's followed by Antoine's. :) VWR

I used to go to the Essence Music Festival in New Orleans before the hurricane. I loved it! Gained at least 5-10 pounds each time...lol...
