I wouldn't, but thieves north of Sydney Australia took their chances by climbing over a fence and running off with the four year old alligator. Mr Cranky Pants probably put up a bit of a fight and officials found him later in a local creek. According to the park rangers, he looks like he's glad to be back.

Those thieves got off lucky, or at least we think they did.

This story reminds me of one a long time ago at the Pheonix Zoo. A couple of druken cowboys tried to ride the rino at the zoo. One was killed for his trouble.

If you attempt to steal an alligator, I think you deserve what happens next.
