It sounds like the intelligence, dexterity, and extraordinary hearing of these whales has put them in a position to take advantage of all the long-line fishing signals. As I see it, it will probably be a difficult task to change the current situation. I can't imagine the whales planning to leave the scene any time soon when catching dinner is so easy for them. But then again, seeing as they are so smart, maybe they'll get bored with it all since it is so easy.
