Teo, I love Wayne Dyers "You'll See It When You Believe It" ... a very thought provoking book. A good "argument" provoker too <img src="/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" /> ...

Well, it seems that I'm moved more by poetry than by novels, but here are a few of each:

In Search of Satisfaction - J. California Cooper
Sonnets - William Shakespeare
The Road not Taken - Robert Frost

The Road not Taken is really my mantra. I'm not a risk taker in the least, but this is what I recite to myself everytime I need to do something I've never done.

HI,

Am new here but it seems like a great place to be!!

Books that have made a difference are The Celestine Prophesy which I read a loooooooong time ago.

I have just finished a fantastic book, Reaching the Start Line by Jack Goodman. I got it off his website which is www.faulders.com. It is the first time I have bought a book over the internet but definately worth it, am not sure if you can get it in bookstores.

Hopefully will be talking to you all alot more.

Bye

Read so many books.Like to refer back to

1. Revolution from within by Gloria Steinem
2. 7 Strategies for Wealth and Happiness by Jim Rohn
3. Living the 7 Habits by Stephen R. Covey

If I were stranded on an island, I would like to have Man's Search for Meaning by Viktor Frankl as company.

This may seem like a weird one but
"Childhood's End" by Arthur C. Clarke, its just a thinker book, a hmmmmmmm

Then I'm working on "When I Lay My Isaac Down" - by Carol Kent - I keep having to make myself read this one because it has some harder truths in it than I would like!

And "The Speed of Dark" - by Elizabeth Moon - it gave me the best insight as to how my autistic son {probably} thinks and processes things.

Hello everyone-I'm new to Bella, and this looks like an interesting discussion. Some works that have shaped my thought over the years have been:

Living in the Light, Shakti Gawain
Anatomy of the Spirit, Caroline Myss
The Alchemist, Paulo Coelho
Siddhartha, Hermann Hesse
The Bhagavad Gita
When Things Fall Apart, Pema Chodron
Iron John, Robert Bly
A Path With Heart, Jack Kornfield
Julia Cameron's The Artist's Way and The Vein of Gold
Plus whatever Thich Nhat Hahn, Deepak Chopra and Sonia Choquette have to say.

There's a fantastic new book out for people who have lots of interests and are sometimes wondering what to do next. I happened to see it on my way out of the bathroom at a Barnes and Noble (of all things!) and bought it. It's especially good for those who are Type 7's in the Enneagram. I just finished it this evening, but don't have a review up yet on my site.

The Renaissance Soul - Life Design for People With Too Many Passions to Pick Just One by Margaret Lobenstine

Here's the author's website:

Yes, I love that website. It even offers a little test so you can determine if you fit the "renaissance soul" profile.

I just posted an article about another life-changing book, Steven Pressfield's The War of Art.
