Hi Janet,
I'm so happy that you're feeling better. I have a little extra in my grace account and I'll send them off to you <img src="/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

Oh, bless your heart, Mindy! I can't tell you how much I appreciate that!

When my husband first posted this thread, I could just visualize the well-wishes and prayers coming towards me; what beautiful energy! I so much appreciate your continued prayers, Mindy. <img src="/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

Janet, I don't post much here, but wanted to say I'm sorry to hear you are going through this pain. My husband had kidney stones last August and his pain was unbelievable. He too had to go to the ER in the ambulance. He passed one stone and had a cluster of others in his kidney as well. The one stone was about 2 mm, but it would not pass through the urethra so they had to insert a stint and break it up. A couple of weeks later they did the soundwave treatement on the cluster and he has had no problems at all since then.

His doc told him that caffeine played a big part of his problem and to cut way back on the ice tea he had been drinking all summer. I do hope your doctor is able to help rid you of this pain quickly.

Thank you so much for your well-wishes, Dianne! I've heard the same kind of stories about kidney stones. I still feel, though, that my pain was muscle related and the kidney stone was incidental. Who's to really know, though. I've heard that there are several types of kidney stones, which is why they try to get you to catch it with a sieve. Depending on the type of stone, you'd then know what types of foods to avoid (such a dairy, chocolate, spinach, etc.). I must have passed mine, though, because we never caught it/saw it.

Hi Fiona! Bless your heart. You are such a sweetie...and your post was like energetic rose quartz. <img src="/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" /> Thanks so much for your well wishes, healing/reiki, and your kind comments on my article.

I agree. I'm still attempting to decode exactly what all this means. However, being a head type/anyalyzer, this someitmes does more harm than good, ya know?

Can you explain what you mean by "as times have changed now"? I'm intrigued.

True. <img src="/images/graemlins/frown.gif" alt="" />

Out of curiousity, do you have little Earth in your chart? And what do you do to become more grounded? I'd love to hear your thoughts, Fiona (and anyone else who'd like to weigh in.)

I was a bit discouraged because I was doing very, very well...but am now experiencing some aching/stiffness again. *sigh*

Oh Janet, you dear heart, I was in a similar predicament for a while last winter after pulling my traps ( that large muscle group covering your shoulderblade, extending along the spine, around the front and down the arm ) Medication makes you feel normal agin but please please dont over do it. Been there done that - not fun.
It is SO good to have you back but I think that we'd all rather you come back bit by bit rather than to come back only to injure yourself again.
well wishes and hugs
Wendy

Aw, thanks Wendy!

Bless your heart. I went off of Percocet early on. I only take Ibuprofen occassionally, and finished up my anti-inflammatory a few days ago.

Sitting in the recliner really helps me. Too bad I don't have a laptop! <img src="/images/graemlins/laugh.gif" alt="" />

I don't sit at the computer for long stretches. I certainly learned my lesson with that...

I attempted to lie down last night and everything went well! I still sleep in the recliner, though, and don't want to risk getting in and out of the claw tub just yet...especially since I'll be using the very muscles that were injured in order to get out of the tub.

I'm still not 100%, and sometimes walk crooked, have some aching, and leg numbness...but bit by bit, it seems I'm getting better.

Boy, I can't imagine injuring your traps. One uses their upper body almost as much as the lower! How long did it take you to recover? Did you have a sprain (which is a microscopic tear)? Man...

Thanks again, sweetie, for your well wishes. *hugs*

And thanks for all the prayers and good vibes! I'm sure it's helped. <img src="/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

I took a bath all by myself today (it felt so good!), and I just got back from going to the Chinese restaurant with my family and getting groceries. After being in so much pain, with limited mobility, it was such a blessing to do "mundane" things! I was tearing up, even. <img src="/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

I'm getting better every day, but don't feel that I'm 100% quite yet. I'll still sleep in the recliner, I think.

A funny story: I was putting on a T shirt and shorts (my around-the house fare), and my shorts felt funny. I cut the tags off the back because tags bug me, so I thought maybe I had them on backwards.

Nope, they were OK.

Why did my shorts feel so weird...so bunched up? I didn't gain any weight. If anything, I lost weight.

I start fishing around...

My husband's sock was in my shorts. Must got tumbled together in the dryer. LOL!!!

Thanks again, all, for your prayers, emails, and well wishes. I so much appreciate it!

Hi Janet! I'm SOOOO glad to hear you're doing so much better. This is great. I know just what you mean about taking a bath after not being able to, lol... been there. Keep on taking it easy, and one day you'll be able to move a bit more than you did the day before. <img src="/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" /> I am so happy for you! That's really funny about the sock... I've never had something like that happen, but jeezzz... lol!!

Hi 'lyssa! Good to see you!

Yeah, it's amazing how wonderful the "mundane" stuff feels when you've been incapacitated by immobility and pain.

I went shopping with my husband and son on Saturday, saw the new Winnie the Pooh movie with my son, went out to lunch... I had no pain and could walk perfectly! What a blessing! I've even slept in the bed the last 2 nights...only for about 4 hours, though, before moving to the recliner.

The sock thing sure was funny at the time. I'm like "What in the world is in my crack?!" ROTFL <img src="/images/graemlins/laugh.gif" alt="" />

Bless your heart, 'lyssa, and thanks for your encouragement!
