What a neat idea, Morigaine! Thanks for sharing it with us. (And welcome to the New Age Forum!)

I've not heard of Launchcast before. Reminds me of how you rate movies on Netflix and they recommend movies based on your votes. I also appreciate you mentioning your favorite artists...because I haven't heard of them, either.

Can you make more than one station or one station with varying genres? What's the biggest difference between the free version and the subscription?

P.S. I just looked up your profile, Morigaine, and realized you live but an hour away from me.

Hi neighbor!

I actually live in little Washington, but work downtown Pittsburgh. *wave*

The free version allows you to listen to your personalized station only so many hours in a given month (not sure how many hours that is), and you can only skip a certain number of songs that you don't like. You can listen to the generic stations all you like though.

The subscription (which I think is around $25/yr) lets me listen to my personalized station all the time, have unlimited skips, create different mood channels, no commercial advertising, etc. It's well worth it for me, since I'm really selective about my music and listen for at least 9 hours a day.

Hi neighbor, indeed!

LOL @ "little Washington"!! Only people from around here say that! I was in Washington last night--my Dad is recovering at Washington Hospital from his open heart surgery. I live in the Carmichaels area, so in that case, I'm really only 40 minutes from ya!

Thanks for the additional information about Yahoo radio. If you listen for that many hours in a day, $25 is well worth the prices--less money than 2 CD's, in many cases!
