Here at my house as a kid the favorites were monopoly, life, sorry and parchesi. However, whenever we'd have a power outage it was uno...because the numbers and etc were big enough for my mom to read by candlelight into the wee hours =]

I liked all those games, too, Wendy. We also played a game (wooden board and colored marbles) called "yahoo". It was alot of fun! <img src="/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" />
We are getting Candy Land for my son this Christmas we liked it so much. I still love to play UNO. I remember playing Life and Bargin Hunter (remember that game?). I still have a lot of my old games put up to show my kids when they gets bigger.
Ok. Checkers was something we played a lot. Then came Scrabble and Monopoly. I remember a friend of mine had Sorry and that was fun. But I like checkers. I have always wanted to learn how to play chess though.
