In USA Today, the rules to "protect voters from fraud and intimidation" during the Jan. 30 elections include:
imposing criminal penalties for forgery of documents or voter identity fraud
criminal penalties for inciting violence in connection with election rallies or other events
criminal penalties for bribing election commission employees
marking one finger of each voter with indelible ink to ensure voters don't vote twice
criminal penalties for intimidating voters to support a slate of candidates
PRINTING THE BALLOTS ON SPECIAL SECURITY PAPER with features similar to that used for currency
banning govt. security personnel from participating in campaign activities on behalf of candidates
banning firearms within 300 feet of a polling station, except for those carried by govt. security personnel
Just imagine if we had had these rules in place in November in the US?
