how old is wicca really im asking because i have seen people say that it started in the earily 19century and others say its been 20 thousand years im kinda confused aliitle bit on this

Pagansim, where Wicca originated from, has been around since before the Christian religion was started. So, Paganism is old, but Wicca itself is only about 50 years old.

I think you'll get about as many answers to this question as the number of people you ask. In my opinion, Wicca was reclaimed/recreated (possibly)from surviving remnants of ancient religion early in the 1950's by a British civil servant by the name of Gerald Gardner. He filled in holes in what survived with folklore, etc. that was being published in his era; (i.e. a little ceremonial magick, some spiritualism, a little Rosacrucian, a pinch of Masonic, and so on). I personally don't believe that it continued in an unbroken line from ancient times. Blessings - Brigit
