Have you heard the new artist Gretchen Wilson? What do you think of her songs "Here for the Party" and "Redneck Woman"?

I haven't heard Here for the Party and the music to Redneck Woman is OK but I usually turn it off when it comes on. The lyrics annoy me.

Actually I do, I tend to put her CD in my truck and turn it up when those 2 songs come on. I do get some strange looks tho..LOL! I do have to admit tho, I love Southern Rock anyway and that is what she reminds me of with those songs.

I heard Here For the Party. It sounds just like Redneck Woman.

Gretchen is actually from a little town in Illinois about 20 minutes from my hometown. I think it is cool that someone from such a small town has made it so big in the music world. I think they totally over play Redneck Woman though. I am kind of tired of hearing it.

I have to agree with the overplaying of songs. It seems like they do that to a lot of them that come out. Like "It's five o'clock somewhere" it seems like everytime I turned on the radio, there it was. I understand people like the songs, but goodness, how many times in one day can you hear them? LOL

The song I want to hear is Days Go By by Keith Urban - they play it about twice a week at 2:00 a.m.
