Jim, this answer is far from any number. But, the creation of anime has existed for more than 4 decades and producing more than several hundred anime shows.
i don't think so.. if you take the time to count all the anime listed at animenfo.com for an example, i still don't think the number would be correct as i'm guessing one database can't hold every single anime ever created.
