The soap I made using the hot process method is sticky after 24 hours and does not look like it will firm up! What did I do wrong?

Does anyone know why salt is listed in the final ingredient in some soaps?

Yes, It acts as a water softener. You can use Borax, as well. Not sure why your soap was sticky?

If you use soft oils the soap will end up soft. Olive and/or cocoa butter will make a harder soap. You can also use sodium lactate to make the soap harder.
