Hello! I'm new in this board and a beginner in soapmaking. I'm trying to learn things about soapmaking and would appreciate any book you may recommend. I have surfed around Amazon and pretty much have an idea which books but would like to get your suggestions. Thank you!

I have read about 15 books on soap making. I have found the 2 following books to have the best info.

Country Living Handmade Soap
ISBN:0-688-15568-6

Making Transparent Soap By Catherine Failor
ISBN:1-58017-244-x

If you are looking melt & pour recipes you should check out...

300 Handcrafted soaps by Marie Browning
ISBN:0-8069-6863-x

This book also has info on how to convert the recipes if you want to hand-mill instead of using melt & Pour.

Hope that helps you out.

FYI. I have check all the above books out and the library and got the info I needed.
