Ok guys, what kind of soap do you make and is there anything you wish you could do but either haven't had luck trying or haven't tried yet?
Personally, I prefer ITMHP, it's the best of both worlds, CP feel with HP time!
I'm still kinda new and inexperienced at M & P. Anyone got any pointers?

hey Kitty! Nice to see you here!
I wanna see a picture!! LOL
I've done HP several times. I like it, and really only did it because I wanted to learn as many soaping techniques as possible. As a matter of fact, that bar I did for the Valentine's swap was HP.
Like i said though, I realy and truly prefer ITMHP. It's just so wonderful and perfect. :-)

My favorite is CPHP!! I love the texture! I do CP for my facial & baby soaps, though.

Having used (more than) one of your bars, I gotta ask, how do you get the texture so smooth? Other than ITMHP, I've never seen HP soap as smooth as CP soap. What's your secret? ;-)

Hi Jodi
I do double boiler HP.I am thinking about trying ITMHP.
So,to get this straight,I bring my soap to trace, add my color/fo's/additives and then put it into a freezer paper lined wooden mold.Since I don't have a lid could I just put either a piece of freezer paper or plastic wrap over the top?
Then,I stick it into a preheated (170-180 degree) oven for 2 hrs?
Is that correct?
I guess I could go read the tutorial eh?! hehe

It's great,by the way!
I do have a question though, instead of the plastic bag could I line it with freezer paper?
Thanks!

LOL! Thanks!
Yeah, you can use freezer paper instead. Just make sure nothing's hanging over the sides, yk?I like a garbage bag cause I can just fold it up over the top of the soap to cover it, but I don't see why you couldn't do that with freezer paper too. I used to use paper, but hated the whole folding ritual. Took too long.
Cover your soap with freezer paper or plastic wrap, they both will work. HTH!

Hi!
What is meant by ITMHP? I gather it has something to do with putting traced soap in a mold and cooking it, but I have never heard of it. Where can I read the tutorial on how to do this? I have been doing CP and HP for some time and want to find out about this method. Thanks so much in advance.

THanks for asking! ITMHP is my favorite!!! Means in the mold hot process. Your soap is made just like CP soap, then after you'vepoured it into the mold, you place it in a 170-175 degree oven for 2 hours. Turn the heat off after two hours and leave the soap in overnight.
VOLIA! It's done!
