Hiya, I'm new. My fiance and I are slaves to five house bunnies and I'm wondering who else on Bella has pet bunnies.

There doesn't seem to be a Rabbits category here, so I'm curious if there are lots of people with rabbits or not too many.

Hi Owllady~ i have 2 bunnies, although i am not a 'bunny educated person' so i can't really say exactly what type. One is all black with shorter fur and stiff straight back ears, the other is a much furrier black and white with lop ears. They live in very nice hutch/houses out in my barn. My kids each take responsibility caring for one. One walk on a leash (Hobie) the other is more timid (Jasmine). They are both very sweet and very spoiled. Each was given to me at different times from different people. I am a sucker for a pet, so unwanted pets from miles around tend to end up here, but i'm glad.

We have a rabbit also. My daughter found her running around in the street. We looked for signs of a lost rabbit and in the newspaper; but nothing. She is white with some gray. She is on the bigger side. Her name is Gracie. We are not really sure what sex she is. But because she is pretty; my daughter gave her a girl's name. She lives in the house; but in the summer we keep her in a hutch outside. If it gets too hot; we bring her in the house for awhile to cool down. She is litter trained as well. She likes crackers, cereal and cookies as occasional snacks. Does anyone give their rabbits special treats? If so, what? Hugs to your bunnies! sincerely, moose

Raise hand, I love bunnies too! Once had several of them. Now I am content to watch all the domestics in the mobile home park where we live. They are well fed and cared for buy the people who live here. Lots of new bunnies this year. What kind of rabbits do you have?

My first bunny, Vincent, is a Netherland Dwarf. He is chinchilla-colored. His bunwife is Espresso, a dark-brown (imagine that!) small bunny; an ARBA judge told us her body type and coloring don't normally go together! She was bought from the local pet store, along with "the boys": Grizzles a brown and white Rex, and Smokey a very fluffy mostly grey rabbit.

Then Snoopy was given to us. He is a "broken" or black and white mini lop. When he's happy he loves to dance and binky, his long black ears flying! They are all different, it's amazing to watch them. They don't purr like cats but sometimes they growl. Grizzie shakes his tail when he's feeling frisky.

How about other folks?? What are your bunnies like??

Have a rabbit story for you.

My brother use to have a huge rabbit farm (ranch?) what ever. But, he was at a feed store loading several cages in his truck. A women came up to him and asked what the cages were for.

He said for Rabbits.

She asked why he raised rabbits.

He told her he raised rabbits for Easter eggs.

She said Oh. Walked away. He watched her and a little while later she turned around as if it dawned on her that she had fell for a good one.

wahahahaha!! That's a great story! People can be so funny.

Bunnies are so great. We have a "garbage gut", who eats almost anything. It's practically guaranteed that if no other bunny will eat a certain thing, he will, just like a dog!
