Hi all,

I was just curious as to your favorite nail polish and nail care products.

I absolutely love OPI's new Holiday Harmony line. I have Concerto in Copper, Sonata in Bronze, and Melody in Mocha (I'm a huge fan of shimmering Earth tones).

From their Canadian Collection I have Van-Couvered in Snow (gorgeous!), At Your Quebec & Call, and Glacier Bay Blues. The last two came in a packet, but I don't like the Glacier Bay Blues one.

I was tempted to buy Black Satin from OPI's Tuxedo Collection, but I opted not to (buying Melody in Mocha, instead.)

I also love OPI's RapiDry Top Coat and RapiDry Spray.

One thing I don't like is how long it takes to remove nail polish! I finally bought nail polish remover that's supposedly not for acrylic nails...but it works just fine and take the polish of pretty fast (much faster than what you're supposed to use with acrylic nails.)

What about you? What are you favorite nail colors, brands, and products?

opi is a good brand but cant afford it. wet-n-wild and jane are cheap and last too. with the nail polish remover, they make it in a round container that u dip ur finger in and twirl it around. it works fast. why'd u chose opi products?

Hi tiflynn,

I buy some nail polishes in stores, too. I just didn't take the time to dig through my stash to list them! I have a few really neat bottles that appear different colors depending on how the light hits them. (Sally Hansen? I'm too lazy to run upstairs and check right now )

I mostly went with OPI because they've come out with some fabulous colors and the coat lasts forever...never chipping and always looking lustrous. If they hadn't come out with such a great Holiday and Canadian line, I probably wouldn't have bought so many.

I'm not sure if these polishes are "mood" polishes or not. It doesn't say on the bottle. The two types that I have are Sally Hansen Nail Prisms and Revlon's Color Illusion.

Personally, I say wear whatever nail color you like. Usually, I pick nail polish to go with the majority of my clothes, but the colors I pick are usually very universal (and the colors in my wardrobe stay within a certain range, too). I love browns and earth tones, especially. (I also like Sally Hanson's Chrome Nail Makeup. I have several bottles of those, as well.)

I tend to buy based on color, and not so much on brand. I have a plastic organizer basket I call the "nail bar" and I'm only allowed to have as many nail polishes as fit in that. Don't panic, it holds a good three dozen colors or so!

I have a few from when the trend was for matte nailpolish, and something about them not being shiny just fascinates me. I too have some of the chrome nail makeup from Sally Hansen, how could you not? I do Wet-n-Wild sometimes, and rarely go for anything that is more than a few bucks a bottle.

Being all tattooed, no one seems to mind if I have Sally Bowles' "do I shock you darling?" nails (i.e. green) or something conventional. For my recent trip to Las Vegas just before Halloween, I wore pink with glitter topcoat. Fit right in!

Hi:

I've been enjoying Jessica polish and other beauty products. Jessica Cosmetics is based in California and has specialized in natural nail care since the late 1960s. I hear Jessica had the first nails only salon in the U.S.

They have vibrant colors and richer pigments than most commercial polishes.

Just a thought.
