Hi,
Three of us at church are starting a scrapbooking fellowship at the end of January. We're not quite sure how to run it. Any suggestions?

I did order The Book of Me by Angie Pederson. I'm hoping that will give me ideas.

That sounds awesome Lisa Marie! I just added an article about starting a Faithbooking group to the Bella Online site. You might find that article helpful. Here is the link!

I will also be adding challenges to work on for your faithbooks in 2005. The first challenge has already been added and you can find it here

Please let me know if you have any tips, questions or ideas that you would like me to do articles in the future!

I would also love feedback from you and anyone else that is currently doing scrapbooking fellowship! Your experiences will surely help others who are interested in starting this same type of thing!

Hi,
Thanks for the articles.
We had our first meeting tonight and it went well. Do you have a group at your church that works on their faithbooks together? Do you run it as part Bible study?

I am working on getting a group together at my church and we will also be including a bible study with each session. We just got a new pastor so we are getting lots of new things going at our church! It is SO EXCITING!!!

Do you have a study guide you'll be using for choosing the readings and discussion?

Well I purchased a couple of books that were designed for scrapbook ministry and I wasn't really that happy with them. I am working on doing my own thing. I will keep you posted though:)

Right now I am using the challenges that I post on Bellaonline scrapbooking.

Hi All!

Our church has a wonderful scrapbook fellowship. It's been growing for 2 years now. We know a year in advance the dates for each month and we often have special events and speakers certain months. I do suggest that an extra effort be put towards getting to know any new people who attend as it can be very easy to sit with the same people all the time, not getting to know the new people. We have a build your own sundae party in August and a fun Christmas party in December with a pot luck and small "scrapbook item" gift exchange. We always pray or read some wonderful words of inspiration. We are also soon going to reach out to the community with some of our work and hopefully touch others who are less fortunate. (at this point we are talking about making cards for the elderly in nursing homes). We want our group to be more than just getting our scrapbooking done but also about building friendships, reaching out and realizing all of our talents are gifts from God. Hope this helps a bit. It's truly wonderful to be part of this group.

Thank you Michelle. When I think about my really close friends in this community, I would say most have been made through this group. I'm lucky.
