I use film canisters to store lots of little scrapbooking items like eyelets, small punches & more.

K, here is my next tip!

Who here LOVES pop dots?????

K, I am kind of addicted to dimensional! lol

Well, if you like the look of them, but notice that the cost gets expensive afterawhile, I have a solution!!!!!

Ghetto Fabulous Pop Dots!

That's right! It is the ONLY time that you are allowed to be GHETTO:)

Hehehehe! K, here is what they are! You know the Foam Shapes that they sell on sale all the time at Michaels, Joanns, or Wal-mart? You can usually get a bucket of just regular shapes for about $5? Well, they make AWESOME pop dots! You just put your fave adhesive on one side of the shape, stick to your object that you want to add dimension to, and then put adhesive on the other side, and stick to the LO! Therefore, you have tons and tons and tons of pop dots for only $5!!!! woohoo!

hth!

As a very new scrapbooker, I learned over the weekend to "lay out" my photos on the page (after I had mounted them on card stock) before putting adhesive on them to achieve the arrangement that was most pleasing to my eye. This scrapbook project is one involving all the pets who have been a part of my life during the 22+ years of my marriage, and I was so proud of myself when I got the first pet's pages (2) done on Saturday. I also learned that doing a page is nothing to rush through...and I continue to be amazed at what color can do for something. This is a concept I learned when I was doing counted cross stitch/crewel embroidery and was getting projects framed. Color can make or break any project. If combined right, the photo just jumps off the page at you, but if it is mounted on the wrong color paper, it just kind of melts into the background.
