I actually do a lot of scrapping for Christmas Gifts.

I am making a 6x6 album for my husband.

A scrapped a calendar for 2005 for my sister. (It is tradition for me to get her a new calendar each Christmas)

Making an 8x8 for my mom and dad and some accordian albums for my grandparents;)

Have lots of projects started and lots more to get finished!

Jen....I highly reccomend the Leaving Prints To Alway Remember album. It is a kit tha tyou can purchase for only $15 then you need to get a 6x6 album to put it in. That kit is so amazing! It has the most adorable quotes and step by step instructions for putting the whole thing together (of course you can revamp the look and do whatever you want...it is the sayings that make the album so priceless!)

I am making that exact kit for my parents for Christmas but I am doing it in 8x8 to fit more pictures in!

If you want more info on the kits just let me know or you can check it out at my LP website at http://michelle.leavingprints.us and then click on kits and 6x6 kits.

Everyone that I have shown that album too has fallen in love with it! I have even sold it to several men who are putting it together themselves! One man is doing it for his grandma and the other for his wife! You know how awesome it must be for men to even want to scrap it! LOL!!

I have a calendar to make, plus some more picture frames to decorate (done one already). I have also made a few sets of wine glass charms, and have more of those to make too.

Peola,

For big projects like that I always find that if I start with the journaling it helps me get going. Journal everything that you want to say in the album and then go back and find photos later.

Sounds like a great project and I am sure it will be cherished!

thinking about trying to accordian them so i dont have to put as much into it for 5 seperate larger albums ...... most of moms pics are black and white so doin it in an accordian style with vintage or heritage look would probably work better if i ever start uggh

I have really fallen in love with mini albums. If you have quite a few pictures I would go with the 8x8 style. It is much quicker than doing 12x12 but still allows you plenty of room for pictures and journaling! I LOVE the 8x8 size!

I can't wait to hear how your project turns out!
