Hey L-one of my favorite tools that helps me stay organized is a plastic kitchen tool caddy that rotates. You can get them from the fancy kitchen supply stores and I have a friend that found hers at a dollar store! Put your most often used tools in the caddy and keep on your desk top so you're not always searching while scrapping. This is not my idea but one i read while ck'ing Eboards-sorry I can't give the brillant gal credit cause I can't remember where I saw it.

Hmmmmm! That sounds great! I am not exactly sure what you are talking about, though...

I will have to look in the dollar store next time I go, where else can you get them?

What all do you have on yours?

(I will add this to my article if you dont mind)

The caddy she is talking about is usually used to hold kitchen utencils such as spatulas, large slotted spoons, wooden spoons, etc. It holds them in a vertical position so it would be good for holding sissors, rulers, pens/pencils and such. HTH

You could use a plastic shoe holder that hangs behind a door of off of hooks to store your scissors, stickers, tape runner and other items that would fit in the pockets.

You may want to buy those plastic drawer units (target) for paper, album pages....

I would put up shelves, any type would work well or use a bookcase for the albums.

A coupon holder would work great for organizing your photos, you can use the tabs for identifying which event the pictures are for (halloween, play day at the park,.....)

I hope some of this will help.

My husband also built me a room in the basement. I bought clear, plastic, (5 or 6) quart sizes; I use the big quart sizes for my 8 !/2 x 11 paper and my 12 x 12 paper. I also bought clear, plastic, shoe boxes for things like my writing instruments, rubber stamps, scissors. I use a big plastic storage cabinet (found in the tools section of a discount store) that has different compartments (kind of like a tackle and bait bin). I use mine to store different color brads, chalks, charms, and things in. I also use microwave containers (I got a box of 15 with lids) for about $5. I used labels and labeled everything. I also bought a bunch of butterfly stickers and stuck them everywhere, on my walls, containers, my cork board (for keeping up with supplies I need or want and the scrapbook albums I need to do), my magazines container, even on my lights! I just love butterfliesso every time I walk into my room, its like a new beginning! I have a bookcase and a metal shelving unit in my room. I think I may do away with the metal shelving unit at some pointand just use regular shelves. However, I like my bookcase (it is also decorated with butterflies). I have a filing cabinet with folders for different color die cuts and scraps of paper. I also have folders for memorabilia that I want to include in my scrapbooks (labeled under the scrapbook that it goes in). My tables are two old tables (one from a place of business that no longer exists and the other one is one my father made me about 28 years agothis one has one drawer). I have a real comfy chair that moves. I do scrapbook more, but still not as much as I would like; I work full time, go to college part-time, take piano lessons and am taking Modern Dance. I guess thats about it. I hope this helps!! (Maybe one day, I can afford the scrapbook furniture).

I would really like to get together with angel again soon... do ya think she would want to come over and start scrapping? I might be able to give her a few things to start out (esp. if she would come in here and post <img src="/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" /> )
