I have a felling that all is lost. However maybe you can help me.
I was writing an article in Word. It was saved onto a 3 1/2 floppy. I had saved it several times. the floppy was in the drive. I clicked save on last time and got an error saying something about an access problem or locked file. I had gotten this message occasionaly at other times. <img src="/images/graemlins/frown.gif" alt="" /> I didn't really read it and just clicked OK and closed the document because I knew that I had saved it before.
Now the whole thing seems to have disappeared from the floppy. Can't find it anywhere. Is it gone <img src="/images/graemlins/confused.gif" alt="" />

It sounds like the floppy failed while saving the last time. NOT good if that was your only copy. I'm sorry but I think you may have lost it unless you kept a copy elsewhere. Sometimes when it fails you might find a temp file on your system .... try doing a find on *.tmp and look for a file created on the day this happened. Then change the .tmp extention to .doc and try opening it in Word. Not sure if you will find it and if you do I can't guarantee you will be able to read it but it's worth a try.

However, I rewrote it and it flowed easily <img src="/images/graemlins/laugh.gif" alt="" />
That time I saved it to floppy and to a file on my computer, just in case. <img src="/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />
