I want to learn to knit but I'm left handed.
When knitting the left handed way, do I read the instructions the way they are or do I have to do it backward...like if it says to knit do I purl instead?

I hope I havent confused you in my questin here.
Thank you.

Tooee remember when I told you about the stack of Threads magazines I got ? Well anyway I was looking thru them last night and they do have an artilce about left handed knitting, I will also do a search for you to see if I can't find something that you can see online.

It looks like everything BUT knit and purl.

I'll help you, remember knit is pointing the needle away from you and purl is pointing the needle sideways. When I first started I was very very confused and I actually had purling down really good but could not do the knit stitch, go figure. This is just more proof that I am backwards, hehehehehehe.
