An exhibition has opened in the Polish port of Gdynia showing photographs of recently identified wreck of a German ship torpedoed at the end of WW II with the loss of some 4000 refugees lives. The cruise ship General von Steuben was located by the Polish navy at the bottom of the Baltic Sea last spring. Soon afterwards the magazine National Geographic Polska organized a special underwater survey to identify the vessel. The resulting photographs showing, among others, its hull and bridge are parts of the exhibition called Steuben Bloody Secret of the Baltic Sea which is held in Gdynias Museum of Sea till the end of March.
