Hussar - It is the lack of knowledge of some areas of the world that Americans and others have that makes explaining things very difficult.

All,

I my life time I have come to travel extensively while in the military and in a civilian occupation.

The thing I remember the most is that no matter where I went, When I returned to this 'good ole USA' I kissed the ground I walk on.

"THERE IS NO OTHER PLACE ON THIS EARTH LIKE OUR
USA !!!!"

The more things change, the more they stay the same...when I wanted to spend a year studying at Trinity College in Dublin, my father did everything short of getting a court order to stop me. I went anyway. He said "You are selling your birthright for a mess of pottage." He wanted me to learn frlom his and his father's experiences. I wanted to exlore the world and experience different cultures!

Years later I am able to understand that his generation was too close to their painful European experience and did not understand my generation's need to learn for ourselves. That is reminiscent of the problems that the oldest generation today has with the newest generation not knowing their history.

The culture with which I had the most problems was the one in Texas in the 1970s (spent 5 years there).

Probably, you would be happy to surrender your passport and never leave the safety and comfort of Bushland.

The comment was addressed to Skeeter. But if someone has a guilty conscience, they may apply it to themselves, too.

Other places I've visited are beautiful, but America is my home.

Eric, can you get dual citizenship for Russia & USA (seriously)?
BTW the next time you go to Russia, please visit Radio Moscow & look up my buddy: Joe Adamov. Thanks. Carl
