I do have two-three charities I send money too. I never sent to any UN-ruled like Unesco because I have a feeling that these charities spent too much money for administration.

I agree with you . When I receive in the mail , free articals like a cross or cars I throw everything away. Too much wasted money. I mainly donate to Childrens hospitals. I will also donate to the Red Cross when there is a strong need like the Tsunmi. I am enjoying your forums.

thanks for visiting us! It is a good idea to donate money to local children hospitals At least you know where your money go!

In the very beginning I donated money to the War veterans because I felt guilty after they sent me address labels. Later I realized that many different charities sent address labels and ... I rather choose charities which I think need it the most. I know, veterans are sometimes in difficult situation but at least they do not die of starvation like kids in Africa do.
