One of the first actions of the Polish underground during this uprising was liberation of a concentration camp containing Jews.
Since Stalin didn�t want Poles to liberate Warsaw to allow Soviet Union to occupy Poland after the war, he didn�t allow Soviet military to aid the Polish resistance, and as a result, they were slaughtered by the Nazis. Stalin wanted to occupy Poland as a gateway to the West and buffer against Germany.
The show claims that Roosevelt supported Stalin�s decision in order to keep Soviet Union as an ally in the war. IMO Roosevelt�s motive was to keep Soviet Union as a covert business partner in the Cold War planned to follow WW2.
Also, IMO during WW2, the Polish resistance should have joined forces with Yugoslav and Albanian partisans, as these were highly effective vs. the Nazis and prevented Soviet occupation of their countres. Carl

i realize that there was jewish resistance also so excuse me so i dont sound too heartless or ignorant but why do jews in america get so much credit for being the victims?

I am glad you saw the movie. Thank you for your commentary! The story of the Warsaw uprising is quite bitter - since they could not win - the Europe was divided already.

I did not even know about a liberation of Jewish prison in Warsaw. AS for the covert practices, I am not sure that anybody could really plan on cold war.

Jaga & Ryan, USA lend lease during WW2 helped develop Soviet military-industrial complex that was further developed during Cold War. Cold War was highly profitable to both sides, and required planning & deals. Also, after WW2, USA bought diamonds & furs from Soviet Union. UK Rolles Royce jet engines powered Soviet MIG 15's in Korean War.
Ethnic cultures, e.g., Jews, Blacks & Hispanics have selfishly portrayed themselves as main victims in media. This is changing, as world is getting smaller. Carl
