Welcome to the "Tidewater Area" of Virginia. I live in Norfolk, VA about 1 mi or 2km from the Chesepeake Bay. The area is noted not only for it's seaport but also being in the middle of early American History. Nearby is Williamsburg (built by Polish craftsmen} and Jamestown (First glassworks in America, built and run by Polish artisans). You cannot walk one foot without tripping over a prominant place of America's history.

Lots of people replying from America.
I like to be different.
I'm from Nottingham, United Kingdom where there's a thriving Polish community, i.e. a church plus a club house plus 2 priests.

Bob S. The area your from is very beautiful. I was stationed at Marine Barracks, Norfolk VA for a while. Pulled gate guard a D&S Piers. Worst job I ever had. People coming off those subs were not wrapped very tight. :rolling:

Hey John, Norfolk has changed a LOT since you were down here and it has changed quite a bit from what I use to remember (Granby Street and East Main Street are gone). Those D & S piers are still there off of Hampton Blvd. and it is still a miserable place to pull duty.
