Once again I had to listen to a News broadcast to find out what is happening in the world. What is it with American news (ABC,NBC,CBS, Fox et al) Do these people actually believe that anyone is listening to them? or are they talking to themselves? Maybe they are putting on a broadsast for the Hollywood types or only for the ones who have a lot of air between their ears. If I had not seen an international broadcast I would have never known Jose Marie Azner addressed a joint session of congress nor would I have heard the important parts of his speech and various comments afterward. I learned of what is being done about the Avian Flu in the Far East and what life is like after the floods in Central America. I saw a little bit about European Common Market (and America thinks NAFTA is a threat?). There was a lot of information that was passed on to the audience but I am afraid that some day the vast majority of Americans will wake up to a changed world and then scratch their heads and wonder what happened while they were asleep. Like Rep. Traffacant would say "beam me up"

I should have said it was a INTERNATIONAL NEWS BROADCAST.

Bob,
the only news which tells more about the world (and I am not the only person admitting it because my friends - Americans are watching it also) - is world news on FN CNN during weekends. This is the financial news during the week but on weekends they talk more about the world because... they are broadcasted from London!

Jaga, the news program I get is from Spain but I can also receive the news from China (lots of propaganda). Most of the American news I pay attention to is on "Talk Radio".

You don't have BBC World (the television) in America?

There is also another British news program TTL or something like that and they had good news. From BBC I liked a radio more than TV news channel.
