I do. In Poland it was called Karlson from the Roof. <img src="/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

I remember the book. I read it once when I was sitting with flu at home but I do not remember the cartoons. I am not sure. Maybe I confused thic Carrlson on the roof with another story of the stranger coming to the room of the boy and making problems ;-)) Thanks for the link,

This looks like the Swedish version. In the 1970s or whenever, the Soviet cartoon company "Soyuzmultfilm" made Karlson cartoons - these are the ones that would have been seen in Poland, too.

I really loves some traditional Russian cartoons with folk stories about babushkas, diedushkas and cats and other animals more than the later ones.

I call your attention to Walt Disney�s USA animated cartoon of Prokofiev�s Peter & the Wolf: in WW2: http://disneyshorts.toonzone.net/years/1946/peterandthewolf.html Reportedly Peter symbolized Russia & the wolf, Hitler.
