Eric, do you or anyone in Russia think that your country will ever see the return of a Czar if only as a figure head such as in England? I have seen a few articles on a couple of TV shows and the idea was put forth that some of the Russian want to lift the last Czar and his family to sainthood. Have you seen any evidence of this? Just curious thats all.

When my wife & I visited Paris, France several years ago, we stopped during a rainstorm in a small museum entitled Camelots des Roi, which advocates restoration of the monarchy to France. A British visitor whispered to me, To accomplish this theyll have to sew their heads back on (LOL)."

Even as just a figurehead, I very, very seriously doubt it. There's truly no reason for it. Besides, the tsarist period represents nothing but serfdom for the people.

Both of what you mentioned is great!

BTW, if you're ever in St. Petersburg, go to the cafe "Zvezda" right on Moskovskiy Prospekt - it's a couple of buildings from the metro station. They make a GREAT chicken Kiev, and a whole meal won't even cost you 50 rubles!!

I almost never eat out, but I was at this cafe a lot. I live in the far northern part of the city, so it's a journey to get there, but it's worth it.
