Elena,

but when Hitler was killing people in other countries (not his own) it was a war. When Stalin was killing - it was a peace. Something strange, do not you think so?

Hitler first started cleaning his own country.
The value of life in Europe was very low since early days of its history.

Elena,

Hitler only killed disabled, homosexuals and his political enemies etc. People who according to him did not fit to the society. Stalin killed his own.

For instance among the members of the Central Bureau (in Soviet Union) selected there in 1934 which was called a Congress of Victors, during the next 5 years 70% of people were arrested!

Jaga, both Hitler & Stalin were mass murderers who killed their perceived enemies. IMHO whether they killed others or their own doesn't matter. Carl

I wonder what are you trying to contest and how it answer your topic "the value of life".

Elena,

of course, this discussion has a lot to do with the poll. Hitler at least had a respect to his own people, Stalin treated Russians badly and... Russians still love him, at least some
Complete paranoia!

Stalin did not mind killing his own people - whether because of purges or during the war as prisoners of war. He was encouraging it. So, my conclusion - the value of Russian lives for Russian/Soviet leaders is low!

On the other hand, not many countries were willing to bankrupt themselves providing absolutely free services and nearly free food and living space to its citizens like the USSR did.
