Now I can read Cyrillic on Windows XP. It suddenly appeared & I don't know why. How can I type Cyrillic alphabet on my keyboard, then revert to English alphabet? Thanks. Carl

Thanks. Carl [/qb] There should be a blue box on the lower-right of the monitor. When it says "En", your keyboard will have the English layout. If it says "Uk", for example, it will be Ukrainian. To change the layouts available, click the box and go to "settings".

Eric, that blue box doesn't appear on my monitor. I'll consult some Windows XP manuals & support newsgroups. Thanks. Carl

Carl [/qb] You can do it the hard way (spending time going through manuals and newsgroups), or the easy way (step by step). Go to the "keyboard" menu in the control panel. There should be an option there to activate other keyboard layouts, and also the indicator box. Try this first. If that doesn't work, come back to me.

Carl [/qb] Carl, you have to add the mode of switching the languages on your key-board. For this reason you have to go to your "Settings" ---> "Control Panel" and choose "Regional Languages"(or something like that) and there you have to add the Russian language and Key settings for switching the key board. After this manipulations the language box will appear at your contrlol panel. You can e-mail me for if you have more questions.

Eric & Elena: Keyboard settings in Control Panel in Windows XP on my PC excludes reference to regional alphabets. Also, my XP manuals don't address this. I'll ask XP support news group. Thanks. Carl
