My hair is very thick, very curly, very frizzy, and very oily, especially at the roots. A small amount of dandruff is also in my hair.
I have been searching for the right shampoo for months, and all the shampoos that I have found for frizzy hair are for thin, dry hair, which mine is definitely not. Is frizzy hair not common with thick, oily hair? WHICH SHAMPOO WOULD YOU RECCOMEND?
I have tried sooooooo many different kinds, I'm just very confused.
I do not wish to straighten my hair, so please do not suggest that .
I've had someone reccomend something by Matrix, but I think I looked it up once, and it looked very proffesional and expensive. I'm merely looking for something I could find at a drugstore or grocery store, or maybe order online...
HELP!
Also, I do not currenly use conditioner because my hair is already immensely oily... Is this wise?

Probably the Matrix shampoo was Smooth&Sleek. Its great for frizzy hair.
Professional shampoo lasts much longer than most store shampoo making it more economical to use.

However, maybe someone can recommend something for you. I am not very familiar with store brands.

Thank you. I haven't had much luck with store-boughts, so if I WERE to get a non-store brand shampoo, what would you reccomend? I do not see much of anything for frizzy yet oily hair...
And what about conditioner? I'm not currently using it because my hair so sooooooooooooo oily already... Is this a good idea?
Thanks

Try the Matrix Smooth and Sleek or Redken All Soft or Paul Mitchell Super Skinny
Rinse very well
Use conditioner only on the ends.(After the shampoo, towel dry your hair to get excess moisture out - then apply the conditioner to the ends.)
Then rinse well.

There are suggestions on dealing with oily hair here:
Greasy Hair

Ignore the part about the kind of shampoo but note the other suggestions.

Hi rebbeca! I listen to the radio everyday. this guy comes on every week they call him the hair doctor. He has stores all through out the chicago land area. It doesn't matter where you live because he has the same products on-line. He can tell you a store product in your home town that you can use. I don't want to give you the wrong URL. But if your still interested email me at dwanellwarren@yahoo.com and i will have his number for you. i have to go home and get it. I will be sure to post his number for anybody that has a problem about there hair.

Until then
