Maybe it's my age (ouch!!), but I don't really like her new color. It makes her look "harsh". As we get older, we should avoid very dark colors because of the harshness. Also, if you decided later to go lighter, it would have to be stripped and that's not good for the hair.
I was a "blonde" (by mistake!) for a year and couldn't wait to get rid of it. I've always had a rich reddish brown color but decided I needed a change so I asked my hairdresser to "highlight" my hair. The result was an all-over blonde and my reddish-brown hair was gone. I was sick! Everyone told me they loved my hair and several of them rushed to my hairdresser to get their's done. Anyway, it's been very difficult getting rid of the blonde and trying to get back my previous color. I'm getting closer, but not quite there yet. I was too washed-out looking with blonde hair. My reddish-brown hair complimented my pinkish skin. In trying to recapture my reddish-brown, I've had very dark (almost black!) hair and that was NOT a good look for me. All I'm saying is--be careful not to go too dark. <img src="/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />
