I am platnium but have some serious roots coming in and cannot afford to go have it done.

I've done my own hair for many years so I'm not afraid but need some tips, going to Sallys later!

I need a high-lift blonde color, I usually don't tone either, it comes out fine by itself.

Now, I usually bleach with the powder/developer but was wondering if I can get the same high-lift effect without the powdery messy bleach? Or such a high octane bleach. How is Born Blonde? I CAN do the powder routine but an looking for an alternative.

I need to go PROBABLY 4-5 shades, to be safe.

Thanks in advance!!

You will need high octane bleach to go 4 or 5 shades lighter. There is a liguid bleach available. If you go to Sallys, they will have it. Ask them.

Anything less will most likely turn out gold.

You could use either a cream or an oil lightener. I don't recomend puting powder right on the scalp and any cosmetologist can tell you this. Powder bleach was not ment for the scalp and is way to stong for the scalp and can damage your scalp very badly. Causeing blisters and many other things that can in the long run damage the papula. Which will then prevent the hair from growing back in that area ever again.

But also you can use a 30 or 40 volume peroxide w/ the color and that will help lighten' and bring out the color more. But be very careful if you do that. And keep watching it cause if its on to long it can damage you hair very badly.

Hope I was of some help.

If you have any other questions feel free to e-mail me.
