My name is Cindy and I have been a hairdresser for 17 years. Feel free to ask me any questions.

I will help you out anyway I can. If you don't feel good about your hair then you don't feel
good.

Did you try using a bit of lemon juice on your roots, or a mix of kamilla, lemon and avocado? I'm not going to claim that it makes your hair very blond and light colored, but it should at least help a bit in getting the color in the right tone.

BTW, getting my hair colored in level 4 brown next week! I just can't wait and was almost calling the hairdresser to reschedule the appointment for tomorrow instead of next week. <img src="/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

Guess what? I give massages and reiki. More info here!

Hi Cindy! You asked for it! Here's a real challenge for you. I am 61 years old and a retired hairdresser living in the boonies of Oklahoma. I also work as a church organist/choir director in a large church here so I need to look professional still.

I grew out my gray a couple of years ago and I love it. It is a really gorgeous silver. I had been short, spikey, frosted blond for years and I did it myself easily because it was so short. It was layers that I grew out and mostly still layers though I've trimmed a few off in the last years. (Never cut your own hair, even if you're good.)

My hair is baby fine with NO body, even now that it is all gray and down to almost my waist. That's not really a choice. That's... I have no clue what to do with it now. I've been wearing some version of a pony tail for a long time. Now I'm developing bursitis in my shoulders and getting my arms over my head to do even a pony tail can be painful. I need to look good. I want to look fashionable but I also need to look my age!

I'm thinking I need to get it into some kind of style and shape so that I can wear it down if I choose to. I'm leaning toward something like a long wedge that just touches my shoulders so I can still pop it up when I need to get it out of my way. Any ideas?

Hi Jo,
Welcome to the forum!
If your hair is baby fine with no body, you won't get any 'wedge' or stack if you cut it to your shoulders. It would have to be up to at least chin length.

However, a bob or page cut is very stylish. There are some nice bobs HERE
I'm thinking of the last one on the page. It can be left longer if you prefer. It can be pulled back and still looks nice down.
