My daughter used to work at a classy beauty salon that sold Aveda products. She said that for color treated hair, your best bet would be to use Color Conserve shampoo and conditioner. It has an SPF in it that protects the highlights from sun damage. It helps keep the color from fading. Here are some interesting tidbits. Aveda's parent company is Estee Lauder. Their products are expensive. In fact the mark up is 50%. If your hair is dry or damaged, the Curessence line is fabulous! You should use the shampoo and conditioner only about once a week, though. It contains a lot of protein, which makes tha hair feel silky, but too much protein makes your hair feel coarse and dry because of an "overload." Hope this information helps.
