I didn't see that, that is interesting. Certainly most of dieting seems to be the willpower to stick with *whatever* plan you choose and keep working towards your goal. So if your mind is easily hypnotized and that can help you stick with it, I imagine that would work.
But it's probably a bad idea to say "I want to lose weight, I'll just hypnotize myself to do it." You really have to WANT this to work and make a firm commitment to the task. Heck, if all of us just ate healthy, ate reasonable portions and exercised daily, I don't think ANY of us would be overweight. The problem is that most Americans (and other developed countries) think it's easier to eat tons of chips, drink lots of soda and eat junk food without exercising. Then we wonder why we turn into blimps <img src="/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />
I really think if you took any heavy person, and that person had the willpower to exercise daily and eat freshly made, healthy foods, they would lose weight and maintain it. They wouldn't have to follow a special diet with rules. Just eat things on the infamous Food Pyramid. But few people have the willpower to do that, with so much junk food assaulting us from all sides.
