Hi

The best way is to feed your soil not your plants as a heathly soil will do it all for you.

A good compost at time of planting and give the garden a good dressing of manure in the about October time about 3 inches, you only have to do this about every 3 years, you can just throw it on top and let the worms and winter do the rest!!!

When you put in new plants dig a good size hole about twice the size of the root ball and work in any good compost into the bottom, back fill with soil and compost mixed.

Start your own compost heap, makes it cheaper, why throw away what will improve your garden

hope this helps

Sue
