My crocusses are all in full bloom, and I have my first daffodils! My tiny tete-a-tete daffodils are always the first to bloom each spring

Lisa:

I just moved my "rock garden daffodils" which look like your "tete a tete" variety to my new gardens. We actually planted them in the holes in cement blocks. I'll be posting pictures of my new gardens and this unique method of growing plants in my columns in coming weeks. Once the foliage dies down, I'll use set containers of "tender plants" on top of the blocks to help protect the bulbs from excess moisture over the summer.

Did you know that most bulbs don't like to be wet over the summer? This really goes against what most landscapers recommend of overplanting bulbs with annuals!

We're safe from that, nothing else grows where those daffodils are

The second types of daffodils to come up are I think called Narcissus Salome - they have curved white petals with orange insides Here's the batch that came up this weekend.

Ooops actually those last ones seem to be the pale-yellow-insides ones I have. Here are a few other pictures of those:

Here's one in my back yard that I just noticed is different from the salome, it seems to have solid orange middles with bits of white:
