"Humbug" the episode that guest-starred Jim Rose and the Enigma is one of the most popular X-files ever. I have seen the Jim Rose circus perform on several occasions.
In fact, in Dec 1994, while in grad school, I went to see them play at a venue in San Francisco. That night I got picked out of the audience to be the one who stood on Jim Rose's head while he lay in broken glass. It was fantastic......

I am such an xfiles geek...Humbug is one of the four "official" Darin Morgan epsisodes. all popular, clever, poignant and funny. It's Humbug that makes the interesting point that the "normal people" - Mulder and Scully and the beautiful people - are the abnormal ones.

My tattoos weren't showing that night as I was wearing a sweatshirt. However, my shoulder-length, hot pink hair and over-enthusiastic cheering from the front row may have had something to do with it....
