I know you're supposed to use sea salt soaks to help heal your piercing, but is it the same kinda sea salts you can put in our bath water that smell really good? Also are sea salt crystals just as effective?

Sea salts are different from regular table salt in that they do not have iodine added, and differ from bath salts in that they do not have perfumes added. A healing piercing does not need the iodine or the perfumes as both can be irritating to the healing tissues.

Sea salt is as natural as one can get. I purchase sea salt at my local health food store. Many uses including food seasoning and bathing.
I gave a sampling to a co-worker. She used it in her bath water and insists it aids with her inflammed arthritis.

I get sea salt in bulk at a natural grocery store. Epsom salts are not exactly the same thing, again containing extras that you don't need.

the grocery store i shop at has sea salt. but it's not with the regular salt. try looking in the spice and herb area. mine came packaged as largish crystals in a pretty glass bottle that had a grinder built in. it's made by McCormick.. the same company that packages nearly every herb and spice that's available for cooking.

i hope you've already found it, however.
