i had my nose peirced yesterday, and when i woke up this morning the stud in my nostril had fallen out during the night...
i had to disinfect the bar then push it back through and couldnt find the hole at the inside,it hurt like hell when i did, but i eventually got it back through.is there any advice on how to stop that from repeating?
is the bar meant to be straight?? should i buy a curved one?

If you are wearing a stud-style pierce of jewelry without a backing, you run the risk of that happening again. That's just how that goes.

I'm surprised that the piercer suggested you wear a stud without a backing as a starter pierce of jewlery. Did you get this done at a piercing shop or the mall?

Rings are best for new nostril piercings as they can't fall out and facilitate cleaning. The tissues are going to be somewhat swollen which can make the wearing of studs problematic. As they shrink, the nose hole will be a bit looser and your backless stud will have more of a chance to just drop out.

If you can find a nostril screw that is made of surgical quality steel that would work, but do not put anything in there that is crafted of sterling silver. The tarnishing will irritate the piercings and give you healing problems.
