I got my nose pierced a few weeks ago and now I have a bump the size of a pimple right next to it. Can anyone tell me what it is and if it will go away?

You may be starting to form what is known as a "keloid" a type of scar tissue.
I had this problem with a few ear piercings. Applying a diluted solution of tea tree oil can shrink them or make them disappear, but you may find that if your nose piercing is this fresh, that the tea tree oil stings too much.
Even after a piercing is fully healed, and keloids have formed, the tea tree oil procedure still works. If your nose is too sensitive now to start treatment, wait a few weeks and then begin again.

Where do I get tea tree oil? I was told to clean it with antibacterial soap, but instead I have been using antibacterial gel. Is this ok? Is there anything else I can do about this annoying bump?

using the antibacterial gel might be irritating your nose, but that's kinda hard for me to tell via email.
try taking a break from that and just rinse your nose with some sterile saline solution for about a week and see if that helps.
tea tree oil can be found in grocery stores (in health/bath), natural stores or herbal stores. Be sure to dilute it as the oil alone is really strong, and for some folks, it sort of burns the skin/tissues.
I had an ear piercing that formed a really large lump of scar tissue. I had this for years before I heard about using the oil. It took a few months, but I have no scar tissue around that piercing now, and several years later, it's just fine.

Hi there. My name is Jackie, and I just wanted to let you know that I am having the same problem with the bump on my nose. Have you tried the tea tree? I am going to take that suggestion and give it a try. HOpe it works for us. Email me if you wish. bjmosco@sympatico.ca bye for now.

I don't have any nose piercings myself, but I have successfully used the tea tree oil on three cartilege-located piercings in my ears where I got keloids.

I used the tea tree oil once so far since I got it and it seems like it will work if I keep using it because it has gone down some. I did forget to dilute it though, is that bad?

If the tea tree oil feels like it stings or burns when you put it on, then dilute it. You don't have to, but some people find the straight oil to strong for their skin. Also when you dilute it, the smell won't be as strong, which is a factor for some people.
