Eggless Chocolate Cake


� cup granulated sugar
0� cup light brown sugar
� cup butter, softened
� cup cocoa
2 cups cake flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
� teaspoon salt
1 cup buttermilk
1 teaspoon vinegar
2 teaspoons vanilla

Preheat oven to 350� F.

In a mixing bowl, cream the sugars and butter with an electric mixer. Combine flour, cocoa, salt and baking soda. Alternately add buttermilk and dry ingredients to creamed mixture, then add vinegar and vanilla. When all ingredients are mixed, beat for an additional 2-3 minutes to blend well.

Pour into a greased, 9-inch baking pan. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in center comes out clean.
