My beagle will eat anything! Especially if she is trying to get my attention. Rubber bands, eyeglasses, cellephene but I think the weirdest thing besides cat poo is the remote control from our TV. Dam dog is part goat.....

We also have a Jack Russell...

He is so good and does not get into anything.
But he will eat ANYTHING he sees us eat.
The other night he ate watermelon...DH gave him his leftover watermelon to see what he would do and he ate it right down to the white part.
Last night I shared my golden delicious apple with him and he loved it.

I don't know if he would eat garlic on his own..but I give him a clove every week to take care of worms and fleas.

My austrailian shepherd/newfoundland loves just about anything. He's eaten fruits, salads, pb&j, entire loaves of bread, and LOVES desserts. We try to be careful, because he will jump onto chairs and whatnot to get to sweets left up high! He's also eaten feminine products and litter covered cat poo. He's eaten chewed gum before. When he was a puppy, he used to eat those long plastic bags that newspapers are sometimes delivered in--his poop would come out like sausages in a casing! It was pretty funny, but thankgoodness it never harmed him.

I have a Ridgeback/Mastiff mix who ate a 12lb turkey out of the fridge after Thanksgiving, the whole thing! Her stomach was bulging. She had pretty bad diarrhea for a bit, but the vet said she would be okay.

Ever since then, she knows how to open the fridge. If I don't put the gate up in the kitchen she will pull out the margarine tub, yogurt, lunch meat, milk, anything and everything that is in the fridge. I was amazed at the milk carton torn apart and licked clean off the floor.

I love my big fridge-raider of a dog. It may not be unusual that she loves all food, although I find it unusual that she knows how to open the refrigerator.

Not weird - just funny. We had a yellow lab who ate the top of our wedding cake when we took it out of the freezer to thaw.

Happy anniversary!

Okay - here's weird. My son's beagle ate the ends of the earpieces on my glasses!

my dogs also get hold of dirty diapers (only poopy) and have chewed up many dirty feminine products as well. ew ew ew. They ate the cat litter clumps too until we got the litter robot

other than that, a had a lasha apso as a child who chewed underwear and denim constantly. She also ate my hearing aid, thankfully the battery compartment passed quickly, thankfully!! That could have been serious.

BTW - i used to own a doggie biscuit company, and we had a special flea buster recipe that contained garlic Even the cats got into those.

Most cats and dogs like it, and it's good for them. Onions, however, are bad for dogs.

I think onions are toxic to cats, also. All members of the lily family, if I'm not mistaken.

All right, here's a story for grown-ups only. My S.O.'s band (who are all from various points in the Bible belt) came to play a gig in my hedonistic hometown of Ithaca, NY. Well, there's an organization in Ithaca that promotes safe sex by giving away little goodie bags containing chocolate and condoms. They're often in the downtown shopping district, handing out these bags.

Well, one of the guys in his band grabbed a few of these goodie bags, because he thought it was pretty funny that they gave away condoms in a public area (not so common in the deep South). He left them on the table, and Mom's dog (the canine vacuum) naturally ate them. After calling the vet and getting reassurance that the dog would survive just fine, and we should just watch her carefully, Mom thought it was pretty hilariously funny. The guy was actually scared to tell my Mom at first, because he didn't want to offend her.... little did he know that my Mom is a big supporter of the organization that gives the condoms away.

This dog has eaten plastic grocery bags, playing pawns from board games, an entire jack-o-lantern, a scrunchie.... every random object you can imagine. Once they even had to take her to the vet because she'd eaten a bag of onions, and while they were pumping her stomach, they found a plastic baggie, a spool of thread, and a few other bizarre objects.
