Arghhhh!!! I am in need of some HELPFUL ADVICE!! I have a pomeranian who is approximately a year old. It's hard to tell exactly because when we got him, his age was sort of unknown. We got him from a breeder who was basically clueless, it was her first time having a litter and it was by accident. She was out of town when we went to pick a pup, and her mother was there when we got there, and she knew nothing, then they all moved away! Needless to say, i have had bigger dogs in the past and they were no trouble to train at all, but my tricks just arent working with this lil guy! He is still in a crate, because without it, he just pees where ever, whenever he wants, so we have gated him into 2 rooms, and he sleeps in a crate at night, where he does hold his pee thru the night now yayyyy. First thing in the morning i take him out and he does his business. Not a problem. then he gets breakfast, and goes back outside. Now, alot of ppl have told me if he doesnt relieve himself at this time, to put him back in the crate, and try later. Okay, this may be where i am going wrong, but i cant bring myself to do it, after he has just spent a whole night in there. If we are up and about (feeding kids breakfast etc) he whines in the crate and i cant make him stay in there. So usually sometime in the next hour or so i take him out again. When he goes out, he always goes to the bathroom, thats not the problem, but what he does is, he will come straight in and pee again! i'm like, "Jack, man, how much do you hold?" I really dont get why he isnt just doing it all outside, its like he saves some!! at least he is confined into the kitchen and what used to be the playroom, but now is his room. I cant have toys in there, he will pee on them! I have considered getting an older dog for him to copy, has anyone had any luck with that? I've got tons of room and that wouldnt be a problem. He also can be tied out for short periods of time once we finaly get some decent weather, which im hoping will also help. Until then, i will be hoping someone can help me out with advice. So, unless i am sitting in a corner pulling my hair out, i will check back in for some answers pleeeease!!! hehehe thanks in advance
