I've never been much of a dog person, but my hubby just got me a border collie/bull terrier mix. He's the sweetest baby, and he plays with my cats really well.

Hoe about the Spaniels. I don't know much about dog breeds, but a friend of mine long time ago got a black Spaniel (big long ears) he was the cutest little puppy. I always remeber how his ears would flap in the air when he ran.

Who can resist the Chinese Sharpei? I own a female fawn horsecoat. This is my favorite breed.

I have a 10 year old Australian Shepherd/Australian Cattle Dog mix. He was an animal rescue dog and was severely abused by his first family. It took a long time to establish his trust of people again and I am still working on some behavior quirks but I absolutely adore him! I am thinking of getting a larger breed companion dog for him who will good w/small kids...Any info. posted re: Bernese Mountain Dogs, Akitas, and Blue Tick Hounds would be greatly appreciated! Thank you!

I have always, with one exception had mixed breeds. Currently I have an older Lab mix and my younger dog is a Shephard/Lab/Coon Hound mix. My absolute all time favorite is the German Shephard Dog. I had one once and he was the absolute best. A dream of mine would be to own another some day.

Hi, My favorite breed is the Rottweiler. I had a female for 13 1/2 years. KJ, she was my baby. My mom and dad has had 2 males in their lives. They are looking for another one. I have 3 mutts right now. But would one day like to get another rottie. Debbie

I have had several bigger dogs over the course of my lifetime, and I have found the dog that currently lives with us to be the best size dog for us. He's a 10 lb pomeranian, and even my husband likes him! We had always considered small/toy dogs to be 'yappers' and I myself often said under my breath as I passed someone walking one of these ankle biters 'might as well get a cat'. well, Jack came to us a year ago and I cannot say enough nice things about him. He's the sweetest, most loving dog, and so gentle with the kids. His best friend is our cat, and I dont have to worry either will get hurt!
